CampAbility 2019

June 3 – August 2

8:00 am – 3:00 pm

(Extended Day available till 5:00 PM)

The mission of CampAbility Special Day Camp is to provide educational and recreational summer services to elementary-aged children with special needs in a fun and safe environment. We also offer summer camp sessions to the siblings! By doing this, we hope to help alleviate the burden on parents by keeping their children in one location, provide comfort to the camper with special needs by having someone familiar nearby, and include the sibling(s) by offering them companionship with other siblings who walk in their shoes.

We offer 8 sessions (session= Monday – Friday) throughout the summer with fun-filled themes each week. Our campers go on weekly field trips (at no additional charge), have water play days, special guests for entertainment, therapeutic play, and engaging activities that accommodate all of our campers.

Cost

MVP (Special Needs) Rate= $250/session* or $60/day

Sibling Rate= $185/session* or $40/day

Extended day (3PM-5PM) per day= $10.00/MVP and $5.00/sibling, not to exceed $20/family

While CampAbility may appear to be costly for some, it is comparable (and less expensive in many cases) to other specialty camps in the area. We are a specialized camp, providing 7-9 hours/day of accommodations and close supervision for children with special needs (our MVPS) and their Super Sibs. That averages ~$7/hr of experienced care, activities, structure, learning, and continuity for the MVP.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

*When registering, you will need to submit a $25 deposit per session to secure your camper’s spot. The $25 is then deducted from the total cost of each session attended. For example, the MVP’s session is $250 and you make the $25 deposit. On the first day of camp, you will be responsible for the remaining $225 for that session.

Registration

Go to our FORMS page for all the forms related to registering your camper and his/her sibling(s). You will want to secure your camper’s spot early because openings are limited. Initial registration is done online. The additional forms need to be completed and submitted to info@abilitytreefc.org.
