Event & Fundraising Committee

Are you a “behind the scenes” kind of person? Then you can help with the planning involved. Are you a “Type-A” personality? Then you can help keep the group stay on task. Are you outgoing? Then you can help get the word out and get others to support our mission. Are you someone who’s good with finances? Then you can help the team decide what funds to pursue. Are you creative? Then you can help the team plan creative fundraisers other than the usual.

What you need to know:

  • We are a faith-based organization and have an Articles of Faith which all Ability Tree leadership, committees, and staff honor. As a volunteer, you are not required to personally believe in these statements, however, you need to be willing to respect them and not speak contrary to them with our ATFC families and community contacts.
  • Most meetings are done via conference calls/video calls and emails. There are only quarterly in-person meetings each year.
  • We only ask for a one-year commitment at a time. We understand schedules, lives, and availabilities change over time. Also, we want to make sure we are a right fit for you, and you are a right fit for Ability Tree.

Please include the following information: Your name, contact information, acknowledgement you read the Articles of Faith, why you’d like to be on this committee, any previous experience being a part of a committee, any leadership skills, and some strengths you’d bring to the table (this is your time to brag on yourself!).
